What is the CARE Center?
The CARE Center is the community's response to domestic violence, and was established in February of 1979. The CARE Center is a unique, specialized program, which offers a supportive environment and comprehensive services to people experiencing intra-family violence. This program strives to end violence in the home and assist individuals to establish and maintain positive, nonviolent relationships. The CARE Center is staffed by professionally trained and experienced Human Services Clinical Counselors.
The only service at the
CARE Center for which there is a fee is the Batterer's Treatment Program (RESOLVE).

Do You Know...
Domestic Violence is the number one cause of injury to women in this country.
Spouse abuse happens among every age, socioeconomic, racial and ethnic group in our society.
Once abuse starts, it tends to continue and becomes more frequent and severe. Without intervention there is an increased possibility of severe injury or death.
Children living in homes where there is violence have a greater risk of truancy, teen pregnancy, drug use, and suicide.
Providing a safe haven and services to victims and children is our number one priority; but neglecting to provide services to the abuser will result in the abuser going on to create another victim.
